I’m Jonathan

My journey to Rolfing began in 2019, not as a practitioner, but as someone desperately seeking relief. What started as a quest for better posture and athletic performance became something far more profound—a complete shift in how I inhabit my body and move through the world.

The changes weren't just physical. As someone navigating life with ADHD and autism, I discovered that Rolfing offered me a new language for understanding my body's wisdom. It bridged the gap between my non-linear thinking patterns and the tangible, structural reality of fascia and movement.

For the first time, I felt truly at home in my body, with a heightened awareness that rippled into every aspect of my mental and emotional well-being. This profound transformation inspired me to become a certified Rolfer, driven by a deep desire to guide others toward their own embodied healing.

My Approach

As a practitioner, I draw from a background in trauma-informed work, understanding how our bodies hold and process experiences in ways that traditional talk therapy might not reach. My love for authentic movement and dance infuses my sessions with an appreciation for the body's natural desire to flow and express itself.

As someone who has always been drawn to both movement practices and the mechanics of building and fixing things, I see the human body as both a dynamic, fluid system and a masterfully engineered structure. This dual perspective allows me to work with the precision of an engineer and the intuition of a dancer, helping clients discover their own optimal balance between stability and mobility.

My neurodivergent perspective brings a valuable lens to this work—I understand intimately how bodies that think and process differently also move and organize themselves differently. This awareness helps me meet each client exactly where they are, honoring their unique nervous system and movement patterns.

Beyond The Session Room

When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me seeking the same structural fluidity I help others discover through rolfing. Whether I'm navigating a challenging climbing route, flowing through a yoga sequence, dancing to music that moves my soul, or embarking on water adventures, I'm constantly exploring the relationship between structure and freedom in my own body. These experiences continuously inform and enrich my practice.
